The assistant to spiritual leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on international affairs, Ali Akbar Velayati, now plans to meet again with Russia's special presidential envoy on the Syrian settlement, Alexander Lavrentiev, the press service of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic in Russia said.
Their first meeting was held on February 1.
In addition, Ali Akbar Velayati has already held consultations with the Russian Security Council secretary Nikolai Patrushev and Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov, RIA Novosti reports.
