Verkhny Lars opened for passenger cars

Passenger cars are now allowed on the Stepantsminda-Lars highway, Georgia’s Emergency Situations Department reported.

On the Russian side, there are 267 trucks, 167 passenger cars and 2 buses waiting to pass the Verkhny Lars crossing post, the Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation for North Ossetia reported.

The traffic was stopped yesterday due to bad weather conditions.
