The representatives of the two largest German automakers Volkswagen and Daimler paid an official visit to Tehran to hold talks over a possible return to Iran's market. They visited Iran as a part of a high-ranking German delegation headed by German Vice-Chancellor, Sigmar Gabriel.
Volkswagen already has some experience in the production of motor vethicles in Iran. About ten years ago the concern released some brands at an Iranian factory.
