Only Syrians should decide the future of their country, the Foreign Minister of the People's Republic of China, Wang Yi, said during a joint press conference with Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Muallem.
"Our position on this issue is absolutely clear. We believe that Syria's future, the future of its political system, including the fate of its leaders, should be determined by the Syrian people," RIA Novosti cited him s saying.
"During our talks, the Syrian foreign minister clearly stated that Syria is decisively set in the fight against terrorism and we welcome these efforts. We believe that all efforts in the fight against terrorism should be respected and supported," Wang Yi stressed.
