Spokesman of the Pentagon Peter Cook said today that Washington agrees to Moscow's participation in the international coalition against the terrorism organization Islamic State if Moscow expresses such a desire.
"We welcome anyone who wants to help the coalition against IS. The coalition against IS involves 60 countries. We welcome other countries’ opportunities to join it," he said in response to a question about the point of view of the USA regarding Russia joining the coalition.
"Other countries can make their own choices, but I'm speaking about Russia," RIA Novosti cites him as saying.
