White House: US has no plans to lift sanctions on Russia

The US does not consider the possibility of lifting the sanctions against Russia over Crimea, the White House spokesman Sean Spicer said.

"With respect to the sanctions that specifically deal with Ukraine and Crimea, I think Ambassador Haley has spoken very, very clearly about that," he said.

The US ambassador to the UN, Nikki Haley, said earlier that the Trump administration won't ease sanctions related to Russia's annexation of Crimea, unless Moscow returns the peninsula to Ukraine.
