White House distances from Joseph Dunford's statements

White House spokesman Josh Earnest commented on today's announcement by Marine Corps General Joseph Dunford, who is one of the candidates for the post of the head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, that Russia poses the world's greatest threat to national security.

He stressed that the words of the Commander "reflect his own view and not necessarily the consensus analysis of the president's national security team," Interfax reports.
