Why does Progress space freighter crash?

Russian space officials believe the Progress MS-04 crash was caused by the failure of the Soyuz-U booster rocket's third stage engine.

The Russian Progress space freighter was launched from the Baikonur space center in Kazakhstan

Launch control specialists lost telemetry with the space vehicle around 382 seconds into the flight, after the first- and second-stage engines had completed their work, Sputnik reports.

The craft was carrying 2.5 metric tons of supplies to the International Space Station.
