Why does U.S. Congress delegation arrive in Armenia?

A bipartisan U.S. Congress delegation, led by Senator Roger Wicker, has arrived in Yerevan today, the U.S. Embassy in Armenia said.

Roger Wicker is the Senate ranking member of the U.S. Helsinki Commission, also known as the Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe (CSCE). Senator Wicker is also the ranking member of the U.S. Senate Armed Services Committee.

The bipartisan U.S. Congressional Delegation also includes Helsinki Commission Chairman Joe Wilson, Co-Chairman Senator Ben Cardin, who is also shairman of the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Senator John Cornyn, as well as representatives Robert Aderholt, Richard Hudson, Trent Kelly and Andy Harris.
