In Chechnya widows of the Alpha special unit today received the medal 'For Services to the Chechen Republic' for their husbands.
Chairman of the government, the envoy of the Republic Bekhan Taymaskhanov, State Duma deputy Adam Delimkhanov and assistant of the head of the region Daniil Martynov conducted the awards ceremony.
The women also received cash grants. A film about the Alpha special forces units was shown after a minute of silence in memory of the employees who died carrying out their military duty, the portal North Caucasus reports.
