The Scientific Council of the Russian State Humanitarian University elected Yefim Pivovar as the President of the university, an informed source told Vestnik Kavkaza.
Earlier, the Attestation Commission at the Russian Ministry of Education endorsed the candidature of PhD, professor, the head of the Department of Social Philosophy at the RSUH, Eugeny Ivakhnenko, as the new rector.
Russian Minister for Education and Science, Dmitry Livanov, met with the new rector.
The Minister expressed his gratitude to Yefim Pivovar, noting that he saved the university from extinction in the early 2000s.
