Yerevan: Armenia to develop cooperation with Russia

The Armenian Foreign Ministry's press secretary Tigran Balayan said that internal processes taking place in Armenia are not interrelated with its foreign policy.

"We are following closely the international reaction to the internal processes taking place in Armenia, conditioned by the formation of the rule of law and independent justice, the fight against corruption, which are the internal political priorities of the government," the secretary stressed.

"These processes are not interrelated with Armenia's foreign policy and should not cause discrepancies," ARKA cited Balayan as saying.

Balayan confirmed that Armenia's foreign policy priorities, which are clearly enshrined in the government's program approved by parliament, are aimed at further strengthening and deepening of relations with Russia, and enhancing the effectiveness of cooperation within the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) and the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU).
