Yerevan to participate in US military drills

The Armenian Defense Ministry reported on the country's participation in two US military exercises in Europe this year. Earlier, Yerevan's intentions were confirmed by the Pentagon.

This year, the Armenian army will take part in two US military drills to be held in Europe, spokesman for the Armenian Defense, Ministry Aram Torosyan said.

According to the minister, the Armenian military department will participate in two US drills in 2023. Torosyan added that they will be held on the territory of the European Union.

He emphasized that the military exercises will be organized by the command of the US Forces in Europe – the forces of the International Mission under the auspices of NATO in Kosovo and Metohija and Saber Junction.

Earlier, the Pentagon confirmed Yerevan's intentions to take part in the Defender Europe military drills, but later Armenia was excluded from the list of participants.
