Yevkurov: lands transferred to Chechnya were previously annexed by Ingushetia by mistake

The border agreement, which provoked a wave of protests, will help to correct the mistake made in 2009, when Ingushetia illegally annexed the ancestral lands of Chechens, head of the region Yunus-Bek Yevkurov said.

Earlier, the administration of the head of Ingushetia reminded that in order to implement the new federal law on local self-government, both republics had to adapt their regional laws establishing the boundaries of municipalities. This was done in 2009.
