The head of Ingushetia, Yunus-bek Yevkurov, wrote today on Instagram about the need for the resignation of the Mufti of Republic, Isa Khamkhoyev. "As the head of the republic, I have expressed dissatisfaction with the activities of the mufti, including a response to the events of this summer, which undermine the authority of the official clergy," Yevkurov said in the message.
Yevkurov also proposed choosing a new mufti of Ingushetia and called on the heads of the Muslim communities and the alimus scientists to work tirelessly on community cohesion. ‘’This is the only way we can preserve the republic in peace and prosperity," he concluded.
