Yunus-Bek Yevkurov: Ramadan is time for authorities' operational work

The Days of Ingushetia were held in the Ramadan Tent at Poklonnaya Hill. The correspondents of Vestnik Kavkaza interviewed the head of Ingushetia, Yunus-bek Yevkurov, and the Mufti, Isa Khamkhoyev, on the sidelines of this event. Yevkurov said that for him, as the leader of Ingushetia, the holy month of Ramadan has a special significance.

"For me as the leader, Ramadan is not only a test, but also the maximum performance of my commitment to the citizens of the country. Today, there are a lot of problems in the country, the abnormal heat, lack of water, gas, electricity," the head of Ingushetia said.

Yevkurov thanked the organizers of the Tent of Ramadan for the project, which presented every Russian region, and the Moscow authorities for attention to the Muslim part of the city's population and visitors. "Thanks to this project we also erected a Ramadan Tent in Magas. I think the heads of municipalities in the next year will establish such tents in each municipality," he said.

Isa Khamkhoev, in his turn, noted the importance of holding such events in Moscow. "We have a large common motherland - Russia - and it is important that we are going to the Ramadan tent in the capital. It unites us all, we feel that we are Russians, that we should not be separated from each other, but always be together," he said. The Mufti added that the value of the Tent of Ramadan is only growing every year.
