Zannier: increase of tension on Azerbaijani-Armenian border is of concern

OSCE Secretary General Lamberto Zannier spoke at a press conference with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov about the need to attract international attention to the increase of tension on the Azerbaijani-Armenian border 

"We are concerned about the increase of tension on the Azerbaijani-Armenian border, it is necessary to work with the political leadership," he stressed.

Zannier recalled that the OSCE "has a special group, which monitors the region, but not on a permanent basis." "We have prepared a series of measures," the OSCE Secretary General noted. "It's time for political initiatives," he concluded.
