Cooperation between Tehran and Moscow led to the defeat of the ISIS terror group, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said.
"We are very pleased that Iran and Russia continue cooperation in strengthening peace and security, as it will bear fruit not only in the region but also on the international stage," he said at a meeting with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov.
"Our cooperation in the fight against terrorism has been successful. The defeat of the ISIS is a result of our joint actions," TASS cited the Iranian foreign Minister as saying.
Zarif also stressed that cooperation between Russian, Iran and Turkey in the Astana process was producing results.
