Zaur Dadaev’s case to be passed to military court

Shamsudin Tsakayev, the lawyer of Zaur Dadaev, the main suspect in the murder of Boris Nemtsov, said that the defense would apply for the case of his client to be considered by a military court.

The request by the defense is because the main suspect in Nemtsov's murder, Zaur Dadaev, was an active officer of the regiment of the North internal troops at the time of the alleged assassination attempt. Lawyers for the accused filed a request to the Northern Regiment in Grozny, in which Dadaev served. The answer from the regiment suggests that on the day of the murder of Boris Nemtsov, 27 February 2015, the accused was a staff officer of the regiment, RIA Novosti reports.
