First President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev met with President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky during his trip to Japan, the former President's press service said.
"I keep track of each day of Ukraine. I am not indifferent to your country. And not only because I studied in Ukraine once. Since the first days of independence, I was well-acquainted with all Presidents of your country," Nazarbayev noted.
During the talks, Nazarbayev underlined the importance of a peaceful regulation of the conflict in the country's south-east.
Zelensky, in turn, noted that Ukraine has always supported Kazakhstan on a wide range of issues. The sides discussed increasing trade cooperation, AKIpress reported.
In addition, Zelensky also invited Nazarbayev to visit Ukraine.
