The construction of the largest mosque in Europe, which will be located between Makhachkala and Kaspiysk, will be funded by the famous entrepreneur Ziyavudin Magomedov, the imam of the Central Juma mosque of the Azerbaijani capital Mahammadrasul Saaduev announced yesterday in his Friday sermon.
"We made tremendous efforts to begin the construction of a new republican mosque. Thanks be to God, we did it. The foundation of this mosque has been laid by ordinary people. Ziyavudin Magomedov took over further completion of this complex," RIA Dagestan quoted him as saying.
