Georgia’s president-elect Salome Zurabishvili confirmed that the inauguration ceremony will be held in Telavi, a city located in Georgia's eastern Kakheti region.
Zurabishvili said that work continued over the details and that foreign delegations would be invited to the ceremony. 1TV reported
"Invitations will be sent to the foreign delegations. Representatives of all countries, with which Georgia has diplomatic relations, will be invited. It is upon them to decide who will then attend the event. Georgia’s outgoing president Giorgi Margvelashvili will attend the ceremony, of course," Zurabishvili said.
The inauguration ceremony of the 5th Georgian president will take place on December 16, 2018.
