The Turkish parliament approved a unanimous declaration on Wednesday
criticizing a deadly attack on naval humanitarian convoy heading to
Gaza by Israeli commandos, RIA Novosti reports.
The Turkish legislative assembly demanded the government review its
relations with Israel in the trade-economic and military spheres. It
also urged Israel to apologize for its actions and wants Israel to be
brought to face international charges. Parliament also called on
Israel to lift the blockade on Gaza immediately.
"The 210 citizens of Turkey captured by the Israeli side were put on
an aeroplane. The bodies of the dead will be sent to Istanbul, the
wounded - to Ankara. The two gravely wounded will continue receiving
treatment in Israel under the supervision of Turkish doctors", Turkish
Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said.
"All the captured passengers will be released today. Within the
framework of the meeting in the USA I was informed that if they will
not be released within 24 hours we will review relations with Israel",
Davutoglu noted, ANS Press reports.
