Germany and Georgia mark the 20th anniversary of diplomatic relations. Tbilisi will hold the German Festival on May 14-20, Georgia Online reports.
The German Embassy and other German organizations offer exhibitions, demonstration of films, literature discussions, concerts, information activities, excursions and others events.
The Museum of Georgian History named after Simon Janashia will host an exhibition on history of Germans and Georgians from Medieval times to today on May 15 - September 22. Visitors may see 300 historic, cultural, archeological, ethnographic, numismatic, botanic, zoological, geological, art and graphic works.
German Ambassador to Georgia Ortvin Hoenig and Director General of the Georgian National Museum David Lordkipanidze attended the exhibition.
Event Hall will host Expo Germany with over 50 companies presented on May 16.
The German House will host a meeting marking 20 years of Georgian-German relations on May 17.
Georgian Education Minister Dmitry Shashkin will open the second exhibition on German education at the Palace of Studying Youth on May 18.
The German Festival will be concluded at the Palace of the Institute of Goethe on May 19.
