Armenia and Abkhaz become two of the top 10 countries visited by Russian pilgrims. The top 10 include Israel, Greece, Bulgaria, Italy, Russia, Ukraine (Crimea), Armenia, Serbia, Abkhazia and Tunisia, ARKA reports.
Most Russian pilgrims today are people aged 35-40, used to comfort at home and abroad, preferring high-quality hotel service, Olga Favarizova of Oktogo.ru says.
Armenia became a Christian state in 301. It has over 25,000 monuments of history and culture. Pilgrims may visit the St. Echmiadzin Cathedral and the Gegard Cave Monastery.
