The 'Two colors of the rainbow - a reflection of two souls'
exhibition, presenting the works of Armenian and Russian pictorial art
and sculptures of 18-20th centuries from Yerevan museums, will open on
September 13th at the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts in Moscow,
Panorama.am reports.
According to the information portal, the deputy head of the National
Gallery of Armenia Asmik Arutyun said that there will be over 100
paintings from Armenian National Gallery, 10 paintings from the
museums of Martiros Saryan, Yervand Kochar and the Museum of Russian
Art in Yerevan.
The exhibition will present the works of Akop Ovnatanyan, Stepanos
Nersisyan, Ovannes (Ivan) Aivazovsky, Vardkes Surenyants, Yegishe
Tadevosyan, Panos Terlemezyan, Martiros Saryan, Georgiy Akulov,
Yervand Kochar, Vladimir Borovikovskiy, Isaak Levitan, Vasiliy
Tropinin, Silvester Shedrin, Vasiliy Surikov, Valentin Serov, Vasiliy
Kandinskiy, Ilya Repin, Mark Shagal and others.
The Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts decided to cover the expenses of
transporting paintings from Armenia.
