Inflation in Dagestan has reached 13.9%, exceeding the indicator by
2%, compared with 2009, exceeding the average Russian indicator by
5.1% and the North Caucasus Federal District indicator by 3.3%, RIA
Dagestan cites the Ministry of Economy.
The high inflation rate was caused by higher food prices that rose by
19.7%, compared with 7.6% last year, making over 76% of the inflation
level in 2010. Food prices made the inflation rise by 10.6%, since the
start of this year (3.9% - 2009).
The food prices change over misbalance of supply and demand for social
goods. Some prices were risen deliberately.
Vegetable prices rose by 52.8% in 2010 and 9.6% in 2009, macaroni and
grain product prices rose by 33.4% and 1.7% relatively, buckwheat - by
193% last year, cheese by 39.3% and 0.9%, sugar by 20.6% and 49.6%,
meat products by 14.8% and 5.4%, eggs by 12.4% and 0.87%. Sunflower
oil price increased by 22%, butter - 15.5%.
Potato prices rose by 129.2%, carrot - 98.9%, cabbage - 97.5%, onion -
55%, buckwheat - 193%. The dramatic price rise occurred in August last
year due to high demand and poor harvest after the summer droughts.
The price for the group of goods increased by 11.4% in
August-September 2010 and by 19.7% throughout the year. Wheat prices
affected meat prices, which rose by 19.9%.
The minimal products for late December 2010 are worth 2,525.40 rubles
per month. The price increased by 26.1%. The prices for non-food
products rose by 5.8%, compared with 17.4% in 2009. The non-food
product market is mainly formed by import, resulting in a 2%
contribution to inflation.
Services prices rose by 10.9% in 2010, compared with 12.7% in 2009.
Veterinary prices rose by 19.9%, housing and utilities - 18.9%,
pre-school - 18.5%, tourism - 17.5%, medicine - 17.4%, housing
services - 13.3%, education - 12.7%.
The growth index for regulated prices for housing and utilities
reached 118.9% in 2010, including housing services - 108.2%, communal
services - 120.4%. The indicators are below the peak payments for
municipal and city education (25%). The prices for services had a 1.2%
contribution to inflation.
Average wages reached16325.5 rubles per month, rising by 18.4%,
compared with the previous year., consumer expenses 12,247.4 rubles,
rising by 13%. Income increased by 8.8% in 2010, by 3.6% lower than
the previous year.
The nominal monthly wage increased by 13.5%, compared with 2009,
reaching 10,357.2 rubles. Real wages increased by 2.6%.
