Indian business interested in Georgian free tourism zone

Indian businessmen are interested in the free tourism zone of Georgia's Anaklia, Director of the Investment Agency Keti Bochorishvili said today. She clarified that Indian businessmen will present projects within the framework of the two-day business forum, Business Georgia reports.


The Anaklia-Zugdudi free tourism zone will have 5 tourist complexes. The zone will have the same benefits as Kobuleti. Land, hotel projects and all communications will be handed to investors for free. They will be free from income and property taxes for 15 years. The government will build a new road from Poti to Anaklia along the Black Sea coast.


Mineral water will be pumped to the resort. An airport and a yacht club will be established.


The lands for investors will be located along the avenue designed by Spanish architects.


Bids for taking part in the project can be filed to the related ministry or the president’s administration at Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti.


Bids will be accepted until April 1.
