The authorities of the republic of Kabardino-Balkaria have passed the strategy on development of industry until 2025. About 90% of the investments for realization of the strategy come from non-budgetary funds, Yuga.ru reports.
Industry is expected to increase output using innovative technologies. This will support economic efficiency and ecological security and improve the competitive ability of products. The goal is to make the Russian South the biggest industrial center.
The program includes realization of the Etana factory for polymers, plants producing lamps, a single complex for mining and enrichment production at the Tyrnyauzsky wolfram and molybdenum deposit and a joint Russian-Polish plant for production of trailers and tractor disks, 'Eurostandart'.
A Single Center for Nano-Technologies is expected to be established at the Kabardino-Balkarian State University. It will include technoparks and industrial zones. The center will specialize in research and production of prototypes and selection and support of nano projects.
The portal Vremya Kabardino-Balkarii says that realization of the strategy will cost 110.3 billion rubles by 2025, which exceeds the price in 2010 12.1-fold. 8,000 additional workplaces will be opened, output per worker will increase 6.2-fold.
The project will require 38.4 billion rubles, 3.3 billion of which will come from the federal budget, 1 billion – from the republic’s budget and 34.1 billion will be provided from non-budgetary funds.
