BP, as the operator of the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli (ACG) field, extracted 9.6 million tons of oil (70.74 million barrels) in the first quarter of 2011.
The average daily extraction rate in January-March was 785,500 barrels.
BP extracted 40.6 million tons of oil (300.4 million barrels) in 2010, compared with over 40.3 million tons in 2009.
This year $628 million will be spent on the ACG. Capital expenditure will amount to $1.998 billion.
Operational expenses reached $140.6 million, capital - $419 million in January-March.
The exploitation expenses of the ACG reached $426 million, capital - $1.648 in 2010.
The ACG has the following shareholders: BP (operator – 37.43%), Chevron (11.27%), SOCAR (10%), INPEX (10.96%), Statoil (8.56%), Exxon (8%), TPAO (6.75%), Itochu (4.3%), Hess (2.72%).
