"Russian-Turkish debate over the South Stream is an incredibly important issue for both sides and they are doing everything to resolve it as quickly as possible”, said Kramer, “but so far nothing has been said that these problems can prevent us from organizing the first supplies of gas in 2015."
South Stream project is being implemented in order to diversify supply routes of natural gas to European consumers and involves the construction of a pipeline across the Black Sea to Southern and Central Europe. Turkey detains a permit to lay a gas pipeline in its economic waters. Russian Ambassador to Ankara Vladimir Ivanovski said earlier that the Turkish side has additional questions after the study of the marine part of the pipeline.
