Russia to inspect Turkey from air

A group of Russian inspectors will monitor Turkey from the air as part of the open skies deal, ITAR-TASS reports.


The inspectors will monitor Turkey on October 3-7 using a AN-30B. They will take off at the Eskishehr Airport and fly a maximum of 1500 km.


Specialists of both states will monitor the state. It is the 28th such flight of Russian monitors.


The Open Skies Deal was signed by 27 states in 1992 and ratified by all in 1995. The document is promote open skies and transparency, support for air control and prevention of crises within the framework of the Council on Security and Cooperation of Europe and other organizations.
