The press spokeswoman of the President of Georgia, Manana Manjgaladze, said on Tuesday that the state budget for 2012 will be focused on employment and modernization, News-Georgia reports.
She said that the total budget for 2012 currently amounts to $4.650 billion, which is $195 million than the budget for 2011.
At the briefing, Manjgaladze said that the budget will be aimed at solving one of the most important current problems – the unemployment rate.
Among the main priorities of the budget will also be agriculture, in particular the modernization of technology and development of winemaking, as well as health care with a special emphasis on insuring pensioners and increasing pensions. Education and implementation of major regional infrastructure projects are also among the priorities.
