Iran plans to start enriching uranium to 20% in the next two months, Iranian Vice-Speaker of Parliament Mohammad-Reza Bahonar said, Trend reports.
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) halted transfer of enriched uranium from France to Iran earlier.
Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi said in November that the most advanced uranium-enrichment facility will be launched in the near future. Director of the Iranian Organization for Nuclear Energy Fereydun Abbasi said on November 23 that the nuclear power plant in Bushehr will start running at full power in two months.
According to latest reports, the centrifuges in Natanza are moving to Fordo, not far from Qom. Iran said that facilities in Fordo will produce the 20%-enriched uranium needed for fuel for the nuclear reactor and for production of isotopes to treat cancer.
Iran announced that it will triple production of nuclear fuel at the Tehran research reactor.
