The Baku International Airport named after Heydar Aliyev, opened domestic air service at the new air terminal, located next to the Baku Cargo Terminal, on January 16, 2012, 1news.az reports.
Magerram Safarli, head of the press service of the Azerbaijani Airlines, said that the first flight from the new terminal was carried out on the Baku-Nakhchivan route at 12 pm on January 16.
The press service has given no information on whether the switch is temporary.
