Kiyevskaya Ploschad, a company of God Nisanov and Zarakh Iliyev, may purchase a share of the city in the Yevropeysky Trading Center for $539 million, Kommersant reports.
A deal is expected to be signed in late February. The company may increase its share to 30%, then sell it to businessmen. The Moscow Property Department filed a lawsuit against Kiyevskaya Ploschad last year for additional 16,190 square meters issued at the Yevropeysky in 2006. The center has a total area of 179,900 square meters. The company insists that it owns at least 53,900 square meters, according to investment contracts. Nadezhda Spiridonova, press secretary of the company, said that they recognize the disputed area as city property and are willing to make the purchase.
Vera Setskaya, President of GVA Sawyer, said that the price per square meter is $10,000, thus the city owns $539 million.
