Obama’s statement on Iran provokes rising oil prices

World oil prices have increased after US President Barack Obama’s statement on the Iranian nuclear program, RIA Novosti reports.

The price of April futures for WTI (Light Sweet Crude Oil) reached increased by $0.26, or 1.24%, to $106.96 per barrel. April futures for Brent oil increased by $0.25, or 0.2%, to $123.9 per barrel, RIA Novosti reports.

The president said on Sunday that the US and Israel want Iran to abandon the nuclear program via diplomacy and ruled out a military resolution of the problem.

Moreover, Enbridge Inc. close an oil pipeline in State Illinois after an incident on an oil pumping station, as stated by Jonathan Barratt, Director General of Barratts Bulletin.
