Timur Kulibayev, head of the Atameken Union, the National Economic Chamber of Kazakhstan, has proposed using Georgian experience for improving the business climate.
He noted that Kyrgyzstan, a neighboring state of Kazakhstan, is actively studying Georgian experience. Kulibayev says that the current approach is not working. There are thousands of authorization documents and over 400 reference notes.
Rahim Oshakbayev, Deputy Chairman of the Atameken Union, presented polling results of over 100 Russian companies operating in Kazakhstan. The companies say that bureaucracy in Kazakhstan is a major obstacle for business.
Atameken is the only union of business communities in Kazakhstan, founded in 2010. The chamber was formed for coordination of business and protection of its members’ rights. The organization has offices all over Kazakhstan with 213 members. It cooperates with the government to resolve problems with business, improvement of legislature and regulation of private business.
