The International Energy Organization INOGATE will accomplish a technical assistance project in Georgia worth 16.5 million euros. The project is designed for three years.
Members of the Committee of Industrial Economics and Economic Policy of the Parliament of Georgia, Guranda Dzhabua and Zurab Kikaleishvili, as well as members of the Committee’s staff met with the experts working on the project, Trend reports.
Project Manager Kevin McKean introduced to the members of the Parliament the main priorities and directions of the project. According to him, the technical assistance project consists of four main components, and its implementation implies both the harmonization of Georgian legislation with European standards and the conducting of thematic trainings and seminars.
"At a meeting with representatives of the international energy organization, we have discussed future cooperation. We are interested in getting acquainted with international standards and their implementation in Georgia," Kikalishvili said after the meeting.
