Restoration of the Yaroslavl-Moscow Pipeline at the Losiny Ostrov National Park will not affect fuel supplies, Gazeta.ru reports.
Oil pumping to the Moscow refinery will stop for only two days. The Energy Ministry said that there is enough supply of fuel for about 10 days.
Transneft said that the pipeline needs major reconstruction, but the Ministry for Ecology issues permission for reconstruction at national parks. The Moscow refinery has warned about halving fuel production. The ministry has approved reconstruction.
