Baghdad accuses Kurds of illegal oil shipments from Iran

Oil the Kurdish administration of Northern Iraq was to provide for the central government is exported to Iran, Iraqi Vice Premier for Energy Affairs Hussein Shahristani said, Trend reports.

Problems with oil supply of Iraq will cause budget losses.

The Kurdish administration reduced oil supply of Baghdad to 50,000 barrels daily, only to stop supplies on Sunday.

Tensions between the Kurdish administration in Northern Iraq and Baghdad started in October 2011 when Exxon Mobil received permission for oil exploration and extraction. Baghdad called the deal illegal and warned the company that deals with the central government of Iraq will be reconsidered, unless it cancels the deal with Kurds.
