Iran-Iraq trade transactions to rise to $15 billion

 

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast says the volume of trade between Tehran and Baghdad will reach a figure between $12 and $15 billion in the current Iranian year (started March 20), Press TV reports.


Speaking at Tuesday press conference in Tehran, Mehmanparast described Iran’s trade ties with Iraq as ‘ever increasing,’ saying there exist “abundant capacities” for bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

The Iranian official put the amount the trade interactions between Iran and Iraq in the last Iranian year (started March 21, 2011 and ended March 19, 2012) at $9.7 billion.
