Trade between Iran and China declined 2.7% from the beginning of the year

According to the latest data of the Customs Administration of Iran, in the first four months of this year (20.03 to 21.07.12) the volume of trade between Iran and China decreased by 2.7% to over $ 3.7 billion, Iran News reports, referring to ISNA.

Exports of Iran to China fell by 11% to $2.6 billion, and legal imports from China increased by 4% to $2.1 billion.

The main products exported in the current year to China include iron ore, polyethylene and methanol, while tractors, chemical materials, pipes, engines, machinery, auto parts, steel, etc. are imported from this country.

Due to the conflict over Iranian nuclear program, Western countries imposed a number of sanctions against Iran and the countries cooperating with it, which restrict trade with Iran and payments to it in dollars.

But according to data published by the press, most contraband on the Iranian market is goods from China. The head of the Iran-China Chamber of Commerce, Asadolla Asgarouladi, said in an interview that if today all the smuggled Chinese goods such as shoes, textiles, clothing, toys and appliances, including low-quality bulbs, are brought together, all of them would amount to approximately 3% of the consumer goods imported from China.
