The South Stream Transport B.V. has met in Milan and made the final decision on the sea section of the South Stream Pipeline project. The company was registered in Amsterdam, PRIME reports.
The company’s board includes Gazprom, Eni EdF and BASF SE.
Construction of the sea section of the pipeline will according to decision of the board made at the beginning of 2012.
South Stream will connect Russia and the European Union through the Black Sea from the Beregovaya gas station to Bulgaria. The sea section will be 900 km long with a maximum depth of over 2 km.
