Turkey will continue purchasing Iranian hydrocarbons, ignoring US and EU sanctions, Anadolu reports.
Turkish Energy Minister Taner Yildiz said that Turkey and Iran were brotherly states and had differences in some issues, but that would not affect energy cooperation.
The official noted that a fifth of Turkish natural gas was imported from Iran.
Turkey addressed the International Court of Arbitration in March 2012, demanding Iran to reduce gas prices.
Iran and Turkey signed a gas deal in 1996. According to the document, Iran sells 10 billion cubic meters of gas to Turkey annually (30 million cubic meters) via the take-or-pay system.
