Iran needs to close down petrochemical facilities

 

Reduction of exports, as an impact of anti-Iranian sanctions, is forcing Iran to close down petrochemical facilities, Iranian Deputy Petroleum Minister Abdolhussein Bayat said, ISNA reports.

The government was asked to allow export of 520,000 tons of petroleum, but only 300,000 tons were permitted.

Iranian Petroleum Minister Rostam Ghasemi said in early 2013 that he had plans for 70 new petrochemical complexes. to increase output from 60 million tons to 100 million tons annually.
