The Agriculture Ministry of Armenia was allowed to purchase seeds and donate them to Armavir, a region hit by hail on May 12, 2013.
The Seed Agency and SKIF AGRO (Russia) will help acquire seeds.
Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan asked Agriculture Minister Sergo Karapetyan to inform him and the Armavir locals about the progress.
The government and the MAP agreed to provide the necessary equipment to 10 regional centers.
Hail damaged farms in Ashtarak, Voskevaz, Voskeat, Oshakan, Parpi, Oganavan, Karbi, Partizak, Bazmaberd and Kazaravan in the Aragots Region of Armenia at about 2.30-3.00 pm on May 12. Armavir, Metsamor, Getashen, Amasia, Shenavan, Dzhrashen, Anknalich, Nor Armavir, Nor Artages, Dzhrarat, Nalbandyan, Berkashat in the Armavir Region of Armenia got agricultural damage at about 1.40-2.10 pm.
