Recent data on foreign trade for the first 5 months of 2013 indicate that the trade balance of Iran in this period had a positive balance in relation to 88 countries.
The trade surplus reached a maximum value with five countries: Iraq, Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Egypt and Pakistan, Iran News reports with reference to Fars.
In the 5 months of the current year, Iran has exported to Iraq various products for $2 billion 553 million, while imports from that country did not exceed $25 million.
Afghanistan imported $1 billion 12 million, while exports from that country to Iran amounted to only $2 million.
Exports to Turkmenistan were worth $356 million, to Egypt - $283 million, to Pakistan - $304 million, while exports to Turkmenistan amounted to $42 million.
