Head of Georgian Wine Agency rules out falsified products

Levan Davitashvili, head of the Georgian National Wine Agency, said that fears of the Russian Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare about falsifications of Georgian products were unjustified, RIA Novosti reports.

The federal service says that Georgia does not have enough materials to produce all the alcohol products it has. Davitashvili denoed the information and said that Georgian control over alcohol industry was as strict as that of Russia.

The official noted that Georgian cognac will be available at the Russian market in late autumn or early winter. Georgia may ship 5 million bottles of whine in 2013, mostly for the New Year celebrations.
