Tengiz-Novorossiysk oil pipeline put back into operation after scheduled stop

The pipeline of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC ) has resumed its work after a scheduled stop, the CPC said.

Pumping oil through the Tengiz-Novorossiysk was completely stopped on September 24 for scheduled work to replace leaky valves and connecting additional equipment as part of expanding the capacity of the pipeline system. Maintenance works were carried out throughout the pipeline length in Russia and Kazakhstan, ITAR- TASS reports.

CTC pipeline system connects Kazakhstan with the seaport of Novorossiysk, where oil is loaded onto tankers for further shipment.

CPC shareholders are the Russian Federation, 31%, Kazakhstan, 20.75 %, Chevron Caspian Pipeline Consortium Company, 15 %, LUKARCO BV , 12,5%, Mobil Caspian Pipeline Company, 7,5%, Rosneft-Shell Caspian Ventures Limited, 7,5%, BG Overseas Holding Limited, 2 %, Eni International NA N.V., 2%, and Oryx Caspian Pipeline LLC , 1,75%.
